MACHUPICCHU BY CAR 2 days

Due to high demand, especially during the busiest months, traditional transportation methods such as the Inca Trail or the Train are full. So if you feel more like an adventurer, getting to the magic place by car is the right option for you, being a comfortable alternative with just the right mixture of amazing views from the car and with hikes across different levels of altitude and landscapes full of flora and fauna that only be found in the Andes geography. It is also economically accessible!

Our departure starts around 7:30 am from Cusco to Ollantaytambo. Making a brief stop at the “Abra de Málaga” located at 4 316 meters above the sea level, where we will enjoy the atmosphere of the edge between the mountains and the forests of the Peruvian high jungle on the horizon.
Moving on into our descent we’ll get to the small village of Santa Maria, a small village located in the province of La Convencion at 1 575 meters above sea level and going through Santa Teresa where we will have our lunch.
Finally, we’ll get to the Hydro station, where we’ll start an 8 km hike to Aguas Calientes, where our guide will take us to our hotel for the night and to have dinner.
We will also have the chance to enjoy the hot waters in this place.

On the second day, at 04:30 am we can make our way to the citadel of Machupicchu (1 500 Inca steps). After getting the energy and enjoying the view of the sunrise, a specialized guide will take us through the Sanctuary for around two and a half hours.
Then we’ll start descending to the town where we’ll start our hike to the Hydro station where the car will pick us up, arriving to Cusco at apporximately 22:00 hrs.
