Tambopata Tours 2 days

ITINERARY:

• Frequency: Every day.
• Duration: 2 days 1 night.

Day 01: Puerto Maldonado – Caimans – Giant Otters.

– Pick up at the airport or bus station.
– Navigation by motorized boat: 45-60 minutes.
– Control: Official registration with the National Navy in the port.
– 5 km hike along dirt paths in the jungle to Sandoval Lake.
– We will navigate on small canoes to watch caimans and otter families.
– Return to the lodge (lunch and rest).
– Guided visit of the jungle, being able to see a beautiful and colorful sunset on the lake.
– Dinner.
– Night tour: We will be able to see: insects, frogs, and tarantulas.
– Return and sleep.

Day 02: Collpa de Guacamayos – Tree Platforms – Puerto Maldonado.

– Morning walk: At 05:00 along the dirt paths, where we´ll find different kinds of birds and macaw areas, where they eat clay that contains minerals and nutrients that they need.
– Breakfast.
– Tree platform walking.
– Hike in the jungle and we will see native trees more than 500 years old, these trees have many medicinal leaves.
– Return to the lodge – Puerto Maldonado.
