ITINERARY:

• Frequency: Every day.
• Duration: 5 days 4 nights.

Important:

• La zona Cultural de Manu no precisa de vacunas contra enfermedades endémicas.

Day 01: Cusco – Ninamarca (Pre-Incan Tombs) – Paucartambo – Cloud Forest – San Pedro Lodge Orchids.

– Pick up at hotel.
– Bus transportation: Cusco – Ninamarca (Pre-Incan Tombs) – Paucartambo (lunch on the way).
– Cloud Forest.
– Sightings: Cock of the rock, spectacled bear, ferns, bromelia, and orchids.
– Orchids of San Pedro Lodge: Dinner and sleep.

Day 02: Cloud Forest – Pilcopata – Erika Lodge (460 m.a.s.l.).

– Search for the cock of the rock (national bird).
– Breakfast.
– Cloud Forest – Pilcopata: Canoeing (optional) free 1 and a half hours along the Koñeq and/or Alto Madre de Dios rivers.
– Boat: Atalaya Port – Alto Madre de Dios river (700 m.a.s.l.).
– Sighting: Parrots, herons, orioles, vultures, etc.
– Private Reserve: Erika (lodge).
– Hike: Transitional jungle between high and low jungles (paths).
– Optional: Night outing to see tarantulas, snakes, scorpions, amphibians, etc.
– Free option: Tree platform walking.

Day 03: Erika Lodge.

– Morning hike through dirt paths.
– Sighting: Wild birds.
– Navigation and hike: Observing interesting flora (heliconia, sensitives), fruit trees.
– Navigation on canoes: Machuwasi Lake.
– Sighting: Birds, caimans, capybaras.
– Night hike: We will observe insects and amphibians.
– Dinner and sleep.
– Free option: Tree platform walking.

Day 04: Erika Lodge – Aguas Calientes – Erika Lodge.

– Short hike: To observe the ceibas.
– Breakfast.
– Descent by boat: Along the high river Madre de Dios until we get to Aguas Calientes.
– Cold lunch.
– Return to Erika Lodge: Dinner and sleep.

Day 05: Erika Lodge – Cusco.

– Navigation by boat: Collpa of macaws (white eyed, blue headed).
– Return to Erika Lodge.
– Pack up and board the boat to Atayala Port.
– Bus to Cusco.
– Lunch on the way.
– Arrival at Cusco at night.
